====
Construction: Except for the door and chimney cover, the stove is entirely cast iron. User reviews of competitor products often suggest that chimneys and legs tend to be made from steel which rusts. The item is very sturdy, even in moderate wind.
Design: The pattern and bolted-on ornaments have an appealing oldy-world design.
Function: There’s good access to the fire pit, with a grill inside for holding logs
Shipping: Blumfeldt’s communication and shipping during delivery were sound. Though the cardboard box looked battered upon arrival, the contents were protected by Styrofoam. Perhaps a thicker box warranted for such a heavy item.

Cons
====
Construction: There’s no door catch to hold the door open. Solved by propping up a piece of wood between the open door and the ground. The weld seams on the chimney prevent the chimney cover from sitting flush.
Instructions: The diagram is acceptable for figuring out how to assemble the large pieces. But detail is lacking for smaller pieces, like the brackets that hold the top and bottom bowl pieces together and the bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. I shouldn’t have to waste time trying to figure out what should be obvious from the instructions.
